    Cyber Security Awareness Month (Cyber Month) this October! In fact, we’re so eager about this year’s campaign, that we couldn’t wait any longer to share our theme with you.

    The theme for Cyber Month 2024 is Generation Cyber Safe: Because online security knows no age. 

    Online security affects all Canadians, regardless of when they were born — that’s why every generation is part of Generation Cyber Safe. As we know, cyber security is a shared responsibility. Let’s come together once again this Cyber Month, as organizations and individuals across Canada, to raise awareness on cyber security and share how we stay safe online with the rest of Generation Cyber Safe.

    Canadian Armed Forces Establishes a New Cyber Command

    The establishment of CAFCYBERCOM represents an important milestone for the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Our North, Strong and Free committed to establishing a new CAF Cyber Command, demonstrating Canada’s commitment to operating in the cyber domain and reflecting the essential role of cyber in modern operations.

    This new command will be led by Major-General Dave Yarker, who will be responsible for cyber operations, and cyber force sustainment, management, and development.

It highlights various voices in cyber roles and are meant to inspire future cyber talent.     Nous sommes heureux de partager avec vous l'édition d'octobre de la lettre d'information sur le développement des compétences cybernétiques. À l'occasion de la semaine des carrières dans le cyberespace, l'équipe chargée du développement des compétences cybernétiques présente une courte série de vidéos intitulée "Parcours inspirants dans le domaine de la cybersécurité". Elle met en lumière diverses voix dans des cyberrôles et a pour but d'inspirer les futurs talents en cybersécurité. Ils partagent les défis qu'ils ont dû relever et les conseils qu'ils donnent à ceux qui se destinent à une carrière dans le cyberespace.
