Mari-Tech 2025 Conference & Exhibition – POWERING SHIPS INTO THE FUTURE – invites members of the global marine engineering community to contribute technical presentations at the conference being held in Montreal, QC on 22-24 April, 2025.

This year’s theme is POWERING SHIPS INTO THE FUTURE

Quebec has a long maritime history in shipbuilding, ship design, and high ice class vessel operations. Quebec is also a province with a number of storied shipowners who operate globally as well as locally and in the arctic. Quebec is also a province with world leading strategies to develop fuel technologies for marine, land and energy.

This conference will focus on sustainable technologies to build and power ships operating around the globe into a decarbonized future from digital solutions to ship design to propulsion technologies. We will bring together world class shipbuilders, Naval Architects, digital development companies, research and development institutions, Classification societies, Regulatory organizations, and vessel operators to have open and thoughtful dialogue on how we can prepare ourselves for the challenges of the future, and share best practices already in use today.

Mari-Tech was created by the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) in 1976 and is the premier event for the marine engineering community in Canada. The conference has earned a respected position as a neutral, non-political event devoted to engaging the private sector, government and academia.

Held annually, Mari-Tech is hosted in turn by each of CIMarE’s seven branches; Mari-Tech 2025 is a collaboration between the CIMarE St. Lawrence Branch and the SNAME Canadian Eastern Canada section and will take place in Montreal, QC.
