    Halifax – Global Spatial Technology Solutions has  announced that it has been awarded a contract by Canada’s Ocean Supercluster’s Core Technology Leadership Program to advance the capabilities of its proprietary, AI powered SaaS platform, OCIANA™. 

    This award enables GSTS to further develop and implement a predictive, dynamic Berth Schedule Management System which will facilitate digital collaboration and enhance global supply chain efficiency through reduced vessel emissions and fuel use.

    Working in partnership with leading maritime innovators including Canada Steamship LinesMontreal Port AuthorityLaurentian Pilotage Authority and Clear Seas, OCIANA’s latest capability will streamline vessel berthing through AI Predictive Analytics to support Just-in-Time Arrivals (JIT).

    OCIANA’s Berth Schedule Management System will connect ships, pilotage authorities and ports to support Green Digital Shipping Corridors and environmental protection thus promoting the overall efficiency of the maritime supply chain.

    Supporting Canada to meet its climate goals see more

    HALIFAX, Nova Scotia—February 21, 2023 — Global Spatial Technology Solutions  (“GSTS” or “the Company”), a Maritime Intelligence company today announced that it will collaborate with the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) in providing a Green Shipping Corridor capability using the OCIANATM platform. The Green Shipping Corridor capability enables vessels to establish an initially low and ultimately zero-carbon emissions route while matching their arrival with berth availability and maintaining compliance.   
     
    “We are extremely pleased to be working with the Montreal Port Authority on this initiative. As an original OCIANATM consortium member, MPA has proven to be a leader in Innovation and Environmental stewardship. OCIANATM has been designed collaboratively with ports, shipping lines and terminal operators to improve efficiency, minimize risk and reduce emissions on a global scale”, said Richard Kolacz, GSTS CEO. “This proprietary capability will enhance end-to- end logistics management and enable the optimization of goods delivered by sea, which accounts for 90% of global trade.” 
     
    OCIANATM is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform that provides maritime vessel and port optimization and maritime risk management solutions for the global maritime market. The AI platform ingests a wide range of operational and oceanographic data sets and through proprietary analysis, supports decision making related to the safe and efficient movement of people and goods on all of the world’s waterways.

    HALIFAX, Nova Scotia—October 05, 2021 — Global Spatial Technology Solutions (“GSTS” or “the Company”) an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Maritime Analytics company, announced today that it has been selected by Airbus Defence and Space as the winner of their Co-Innovation challenge to provide advanced Maritime Risk Detection and Assessment capabilities in support of maritime border security and surveillance.
     
    The Challenge is to identify ships in an area of interest and using the leading-edge techniques of artificial intelligence and machine learning, consolidate a ship’s identity, movement history, and risk status with information collected from multiple sensors. Fusing the intelligence into a single operating picture, GSTS’s solution enables users to improve Maritime Domain Awareness by providing crucial insights and actionable information about maritime threats.
     
    This powerful solution will be based on OCIANA™, an AI-based platform developed by GSTS that rapidly processes data from multiple sensor sources to provide intelligence in near real-time. Using various data sets, coupled with machine learning algorithms for object analysis, enables customers to detect, assess and respond to maritime threats rapidly and effectively.
